Artists Afloat – In the City 5th – 10th July 2011
Artists Afloat Inc. hit Brisbane city in a big way. Their exhibition In the City was an exploration into exactly that.
10 of our Moreton Bay Region members exhibited including Jo Wooler, Julie Wecker, Phil Tamblyn, Daniela Talassi, Sandra Skodnik, Carol Moss, Kim Mancini, Kelvin Hawley, Shirley Frodsham and Jeanette Butler. Together they showcased a selection of dynamic works from paintings to sculpture, inspired by urban city scapes, buildings, feelings, thoughts and ideas evoked by a city.

Artists Afloat – On the Island 8th – 25th June 2010
On the Island was the second dynamic exhibition of Artists Afloat Inc. inspired by life ‘on the island’. Featured member artists from the Moreton Bay Region included Jeanette Butler, Shirley Frodsham, Leigh Gordon, Kelvin Hawley, Kim Mancini, Phil Tamblyn, Julie Wecker, Jo Wooler, Rischelle Brooks and Sandra Skodnik.
This colourful and inspiring exhibition was officially opened by former Moreton Bay Region Councillor and arts enthusiast Koliana Winchester. Showing until Friday 25th June at the Matthew Flinders Gallery, 191 Sunderland Drive, Banksia Beach – Bribie Island this exhibition was a must see!
